This was my very first ever embroidery project! I have some experience with cross stitch, so I found some aspects of the process do transfer over (threading your needle, anchoring the floss, finishing a section, etc). This pattern was SO fun to learn some basic stitches and the videos were incredibly helpful! I found myself falling in love with all of the different textures I was creating and how each new stitching technique drew your eye right to it as something special to appreciate. Compared to cross stitch, I enjoy embroidery so much more! I also think I much prefer this to a stitch sampler pattern - to have such a cute piece to display that I made myself is wonderful! It was also a very informative first experience... I see a lot of patterns advertised that I notice now use a heavy amount of satin stitch, and I don't know that I would enjoy that as much as a pattern that uses a lot of different stitch techniques to create different textures. I will be keeping an eye on the Clever Poppy site for new projects to enjoy! Thank you from a first time embroiderer!

Made this as a gift for my daughter - she absolutely loved it and I loved giving her something handmade to have a little bit of mom's love to hang in her apartment. Love the kits and educational videos -they make it easy for beginners!

i was surprised at how well this turned out by my own hand but it was definitely because the extremely easy to follow videos. julie is so sweet and was easy to follow and listen to. i struggled with getting my hoop tight enough but i read another review that suggests i might have been using the wrong hole in the hoop. i finished this in just a few days and only had to undo a couple french knots i started ;)

This was my first embroidery project! The step-by-step videos were so helpful and allowed me to pick it up quickly. The materials were high quality and the kit includes everything you need. I can't wait to do another one.

This is my first embroidery kit although I’ve done it a couple times, I tend to forget how to embroider. Plus, I really wanted to do a new D.I.Y craft for my grandma For Christmas. The step by step videos are so easy to follow and it’s a great activity for when you are bored. I love this soooo much and I definitely recommend for all ages! Thank you clever poppy! (I’m still working on it lol)

This was a fun project, particularly since I’m just learning. Very doable, and the tutorial videos are key. The theme, the cat, the whole design is fun.

I’m a repeat repeat repeat customer of Clever Poppy! I was an absolute beginner when it came to embroidery and have now completed six patterns and a sampler. The instructions are very easy to follow and everything you need is provided, I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my finished patterns, all of which are super cute. Love and will buy more!

I am not particularly artisticly skilled and was shocked at how good this came out. It was my first ever attempt at any kind of embroidery. I wish the videos had an option to fast forward or rewind within the video, but other than that everything was great and detailed!

I had so much fun working this pattern. I completed the sampler before starting on this pattern. That gave me a great foundation. I look forward to working the new patterns I got from Clever Poppy.

I loved making Moonlit Blooms. This was my third Clever Poppy project. I wouldn’t recommend this kit for a total beginner because of the amount of satin stitch there is, but if you’ve been practicing this kit is perfect. The project is super cute! The pattern is easy to follow. The videos are, as always, spot on. Thanks for creating another fun project!

Great from start to finish! Easy to follow along with the videos. They were very thorough but easy to skip around to what I needed more instruction on. Wonderful quality product!

My fourteen-year-old daughter expressed an interest in trying embroidery after seeing me complete a couple of pieces. She chose this kit and finished it in two days. Having never embroidered anything before, she did an amazing job and loved the experience. Time to go shopping for a new design for her to try!

I love this kit. Everything you need is in a nice small box and I carry with me wherever I go! I’m about halfway through but it’s nice to be able to take my time accessing the instruction videos where ever and when ever I want. So convenient and fun!!!
